| Cathy herself took us on a private tour (although not specifically arranged) through 3 days in the Garden Route. Skeptical at the beginning that would end up being pushed to activities that wouldn’t suit us, we were positively surprised that much on the contrary Cathy adapted easily and understood our needs. We really feel we left with a thorough idea of the beautiful Garden Route, visited everything that would have missed touring on our own: from wine tasting, to the Kangoo caves and Knysna up until the Tsitsikama National Park. Cathy is an excellent guide and knowledgeable and we would certainly recommend anyone first time visitor to this part of the country to take her tour. General point: The greatest advantage of taking a tour
with Cathy is that you can be flexible and she is able to meet
your particular requirements and interest. She is an absolute
knowledge box and is happy to share all this knowledge with you.
I would heartily recommend any trip with Cathy as it will
certainly meet all your requirements. Cape Agulhas: A very full day tour with so many different areas of interest. The drive through the fruit growing area was through a completely different type of scenery with lots to see including the Blue Crane – the national bird. Cape Agulhas was absolutely spectacular and the walk to the actual southernmost tip of Africa was a pleasure. The drive back along the coast was fantastic – just when you think you have seen the most spectacular view ever you find another one! A very long day but certainly one to remember. Gordon’s Bay to Kalk Bay: What could be nicer than walking along a beautiful golden sandy beach? Well walking along two beautiful long sandy beaches as we did with Cathy. First Gordon’s Bay and then Strand. After that a drive through a nature reserve(?) and on to the spectacular seafront of Muizenberg with it’s colourful beach huts and surfers and then a walk through Kalk Bay – an interesting place with fabulous art and craft shops. We returned via a bird reserve because this was our particular interest and Cathy included this part of the trip just for us. Another rewarding trip for us. If this is not what you had in mind then let me know and I’ll try to be more specific – could have waffled on for ages about the trip to Cape Agulhus but you will want more precise detail for your website I imagine. | We did your tour last week to Cape Agulhas. I just wanted to drop you a note to say a big thank you for making it such an enjoyable day. You were so informative and interesting to talk to. We learned a lot about South African life. The scenery was spectacular, especially on the way back along the coast.
